Week 12: What’s Happening Here

So, this week we started the final stretch for this class and created our Agency websites and went ahead and began compiling information and “clues” sent to us by the professors. My group’s mission is called, “From Russia With Love.”

To be completely honest, I was a bit lost this week. I wasn’t really sure how to start, and I’m so glad Tiffany and Erin took the reigns early in the week and got us all moving. I was sure to write a couple of posts for the sites:

I also met up with Stephanie (in person!! If you can believe it) to go over our clues and to work out how we were going to tell the story of our investigation.

While I appreciate the open-ness of this assignment and the freedom it provides, I am so used to structured projects that I am somehow nervous that we forgot something, or that something is not done correctly. Since this is a completely creative project I know that some of that is a little unfounded, but all the same.

I was also VERY confused what was meant by “character updates” and how that applies to each of us. At first glance, I thought that this was about our Agency websites rather than our own. Now looking at the assignment sheet, I’m not so sure. Again, very confused. I wish it was clearer. I went ahead and wrote something akin to this last week… here’s the link to that post. It is located on the Hit Me Agency website and includes some of the things other people did as well. (again, does the confusion show?)

I did make sure to tweet this week as Victoire. Here are a couple…

I know it’s lame, but I am still getting the hang of tweeting as my character. I’ll work on that.

I’ll give you a quick run down of what’s happened to Victoire in the past week. She gets an email from a Russian saying that he wants Bond dead. She deviated from the case the rest of the agency was working on to pursue this one. She had a feeling the two cases were connected. She emailed the Russian back and forth trying to figure out why this Bond dude deserved to get shwacked. The Russian wasn’t giving her anything, so she set Shirley out to get some information on the guy. In the meantime, Victoire went out to LA in order to figure out what was up with Bond and why the Russian wants him dead. She was following her gut, as well as wanting to see Lawrence again.  She eventually got some information from Shirley about where Bond was located. Turns out he was hiding out in L.A. Through a stroke of luck, Victoire found Bond, and followed him to his place. She then broke into his crappy city apartment and bugged his phone. There wasn’t much activity, but there was one call that gave her a lot to go on. The woman on the phone, who apparently knew Bond well and wasn’t a huge fan, was telling him the only Russian she knew was her brother. And then she hung up.

Well, that’s what I got for this week! Onto next week!
